Our Community.

We, the members of FILMIS in the Netherlands, believe that by promoting our Filipino culture, education, and the human rights in the Netherlands, we are able to develop our potentials that are necessary to the attainment of our individual aspiration and happiness in life, and to build a united, strong and respected Filipino community in the Netherlands that can contribute to ideals of freedom, justice, respect, and democracy, do ordain and promulgate this Constitution

The Filipino Migrants in Solidarity (FILMIS) is a non-stock, non-profit organization. It is an organization of Filipino migrants in the Netherlands who dedicate themselves to promote the Filipino culture, education and the human rights of the Filipino migrants in the Netherlands.

The Filipino Migrants in Solidarity (FILMIS) seeks is to promote the culture, education, and the human rights of the Filipino migrants in the Netherlands.

The Filipino Migrants in Solidarity (FILMIS) seeks to empower Filipino migrants by developing their potentials in the pursuit of their human dignity, respect, and recognition of their human rights and responsibility in the Dutch society

The Solidarity.

FILMIS believes that by promoting the Filipino culture, it will help strengthen the aspirations of the Filipino migrants. It gives them a sense of coherence and racial pride by showing our rich heritage and history through arts, literatures, dancing, singing and other forms of artistic self-expression. It also believes in the importance of education. It views education as an effective tool to develop individual potentials which is a key to personal success and happiness. FILMIS is also committed to promote the human rights of the Filipino migrants. It believes that every human being is entitled to basic rights regardless of race, religion, creed, and political belief. It seeks to join an alliance with other human rights advocacy groups in the Netherlands for the purpose of campaigning for the recognition of their rights as human beings.

FILMIS believes that culture is the soul of our nation, and it is a reflection of what we are as a Filipino nation.

Education

FILMIS believes in the power of education. It the effective tool to liberate us from the shadow of ignorance, and empower us to achieve our aspiration as a unique individual.

Human Rights

FILMIS believes that human rights are universal. Every human being has basic rights regardless of his race, creed, religion, and political belief.
